Microsoft is a giant marketing machine and their marketing team constantly come up innovative ways to market. Microsoft team in each country comes up with a unique way to market things based on the local culture and business environment. I sometime compare Microsoft with McDonald. No, McDonald does not serve burgers in all countries. They tailor it based on local taste bud. You can get Samosa (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samosa) in McDonald India and coconut curry in McDonald Thailand. Similarly Microsoft does not use same techniques of marketing in all countries..
